What is ESG?
ESG or ‘Environmental, Social, and Governance’ is a set of standards that refers to the three main criteria for measuring sustainability. ESG is often used as a key indicator for making investment decisions in business and serves as a reference for companies reporting their business impact. As issues such as climate change, ethical supply chains, environmental degradation, and global welfare become increasingly critical, ESG has quickly become a focus as more and more investors, regulators, and other stakeholders are now committed to conducting business in ways that actively contribute to addressing these issues. Therefore, ESG has become a globally recognized investment decision consideration and is increasingly becoming a key focus of company strategy and operational agendas.
